Born on 10 January 1986 in Liverpool , Clancy was member of girlband Genie Queen, who were managed by 80s popstar Andy McClusky from OMD. The highlight of their career was supporting boyband Blue on tour. Unfortunately the band didn?t secure a record deal and fell apart.

In 2006 she successfully auditioned for Britain's Next Top Model and made it to the final. The Living TV producers' notes on Clancy describe her as "fun, giggly and doesn't take anything too seriously" adding: "In five years she sees herself as the next Lisa Snowdon, modelling Victoria's Secret underwear after a successful recording career. If that all doesn't happen Abigail will marry a footballer, get pregnant and then shop and be a housewife the rest of her life."

Abigail came second in cycle 2 of Britain's Next Top Model.
